Loving Like You Have Never Been Hurt

Loving Like You Have Never Been Hurt

Love is a gift from God. We don't own or create it we just receive and share it. We are vessels of God designed to distribute love throughout the earth. Each day is a new opportunity and situation in need of love. Life is lived one minute and one person at a time. Each day each person deserves to experience a new you.

The obstacle course of life with its ups and downs are designed to strengthen us and teach us to depend on God. It teaches us to live in God's love and in God's power and not our own.

Somehow we choose to live in places designed to be past thoughts. We grow weaker by reliving our secret desires to do things in our strength and not through God’s strength.

Hurt and pain are just as valuable as seeing and hearing. We hear things we don't like, yet we have no desire to stop hearing them. Daily, there is a parade of visual eyesores. However, we would give up a limb rather than lose our sight. Somehow, our self-centeredness causes us only to value ourselves.

When we love as if we have been hurt, we tell God and the world around us the protection of our heart is more precious with our words and our actions. Audio catastrophes don't stop us from hearing. Visions of violence bombard our eyes each day.

Let’s face it, in life when people are hurt and in pain, it's just as natural as seeing and hearing. Love is the gift that God extends to humans so we can see what God sees in humanity and listen to what God’s plan is for each of us.

Let’s stop living like hurt and pain is our god. Today I choose to love as if hurt and pain are just what they are; a part of life. Our life is truly only found in Christ. His life was full of hurt, pain, betrayal, and much more, however, Christ was well known for and most defined by his selfless LOVE.

Read Chapter 5: Romans 5:8-9King James Version (KJV)

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 New International Version (NIV)

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

19 Do not quench the Spirit.
